Terms & Conditions

These terms govern use of Oncor.io by artists, labels, listeners, and buyers. They are written for a UK-based service and include consumer-rights safeguards where required by law.

Last updated: February 13, 2026

1. Who we are and when these terms apply

Oncor.io ("Oncor", "we", "us") is operated by Wood Strategies Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 15193723, registered office: C/O Ascendis Unit 3, 2 The Colony Buildings, Altrincham Road, Wilmslow, SK9 4LY). These terms apply whenever you access Oncor.io, create an account, upload content, purchase releases, or use connected services.

If you use the platform for a business (for example as an artist, label, manager, or team member), you confirm you have authority to accept these terms for that business.

2. Platform role and contract structure

  • Oncor provides software, storefront tools, hosting, and payment integrations.
  • Sales contracts for music and merch are between the selling artist/label and the buyer.
  • Oncor is not the merchant-of-record unless clearly stated for a specific checkout flow.
  • Artists/labels remain responsible for release accuracy, rights, tax handling, and legal compliance.

3. Accounts, eligibility, and handles

  • You must provide accurate registration information and keep it updated.
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account credentials.
  • You must keep login methods secure and notify us promptly about unauthorized access.
  • Artist/label handles must be unique and must not infringe rights, impersonate others, or misuse protected names.
  • We may reserve, reject, or reclaim handles that conflict with brand safety, legal obligations, or platform operations.

4. Artist and label obligations

  • Upload only content you own or are fully authorized to distribute and monetize.
  • Provide accurate metadata, credits, artwork rights, and release descriptions.
  • Set AI disclosure on each release as 100% human, Human + AI tools, or Made with AI, and keep it honest, non-misleading, and consistent with your actual process.
  • Set pricing and product terms clearly so buyers understand what they will receive.
  • Comply with applicable laws, including UK consumer protection, advertising, and intellectual property law.

5. License you grant to Oncor

To operate the service, you grant Oncor a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, encode, cache, reproduce, display, distribute, and make available the content and metadata you upload, only for service operation, promotion of your storefront, discovery surfaces, fraud/safety review, and legal compliance.

This license ends when content is permanently removed from active services, except to the extent retention is required for legal compliance, audit records, dispute handling, backups, or ongoing transactions started before removal.

6. Purchases, digital delivery, and merch terms

  • Product details, pricing model, and offer terms are shown on the release or merch page.
  • Digital content may be delivered instantly after successful payment.
  • For digital content, buyers may be asked to consent to immediate performance and waive cancellation rights where law allows.
  • Physical merch shipping, dispatch timing, and fulfillment evidence are managed by the seller unless explicitly stated otherwise.
  • Buyers should keep receipt and order details for support, refunds, and delivery follow-up.

7. Payments, payouts, fees, and taxes

  • Payments are processed by third-party providers (for example Stripe) under their own terms.
  • Oncor currently charges a 10% all-inclusive platform fee on paid sales (inclusive of Stripe processing for supported checkout flows), as shown in artist-facing settings and checkout context.
  • By completing checkout, the buyer authorizes the total amount shown at payment confirmation.
  • Artists/labels are responsible for taxes (including VAT, sales tax, and reporting obligations) unless law requires otherwise.
  • Payout timing depends on payment-provider status, reserve rules, dispute outcomes, and compliance checks.

See payouts, fees, refunds, and chargebacks guidance for operational detail.

8. Refunds, chargebacks, and disputes

Refunds and dispute handling follow our Refund Policy. We may pause payouts, reverse credits, or restrict accounts where we detect fraud, abuse, repeated chargeback misuse, or policy evasion.

9. Copyright, takedowns, and repeat infringement

We operate a notice-and-takedown process and may remove or disable access to content where infringement reports are valid. Repeat or serious infringement can lead to account suspension or termination. See our Copyright Policy.

10. Prohibited use

  • Copyright infringement, counterfeit activity, impersonation, or deceptive metadata.
  • Fraud, payment abuse, abusive chargebacks, or attempts to bypass platform safeguards.
  • Scraping abuse, malicious automation, security testing without permission, or service disruption.
  • Using platform content, metadata, or downloads to train, fine-tune, or evaluate AI models without explicit rights-holder permission.
  • Harassment, hate content, violent abuse content, or unlawful material.
  • Using Oncor in breach of sanctions, export controls, or other applicable legal restrictions.

11. Suspension, termination, and account effects

  • We may suspend, limit, or terminate access for policy breaches, legal risk, fraud risk, or non-payment of required fees.
  • We may remove or de-prioritize content that creates legal exposure or user-safety risk.
  • You may close your account at any time, subject to ongoing transaction, payout, and dispute obligations.
  • Certain terms survive termination, including payment/recovery rights, IP protections, liability limits, and dispute clauses.

12. Service changes and availability

  • We may update features, limits, pricing, integrations, and ranking/discovery systems over time.
  • We may run maintenance windows, emergency interventions, and security controls that affect availability.
  • Some features may be beta or region-limited and can change without prior notice.

13. Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided on an "as available" and "as is" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted uptime, error-free operation, or specific sales outcomes. Nothing in these terms limits any mandatory rights that cannot be excluded by law.

14. Liability limits

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Subject to that, and to the extent permitted by law, Oncor is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profits, loss of goodwill, or loss of data. For business users, Oncor's aggregate liability arising from these terms is limited to the greater of (a) fees paid by that user to Oncor in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) GBP 100.

15. Indemnity (business users)

If you use Oncor for business purposes, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Oncor, its officers, employees, and contractors against losses, claims, liabilities, damages, and reasonable costs (including legal fees) arising from your content, your breach of these terms, or your violation of third-party rights.

16. Governing law and jurisdiction (UK-based service)

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a business user, you and Oncor agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer, you keep any mandatory rights to bring claims in your country of residence where required by applicable law.

17. General legal terms

  • If part of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining parts continue in effect.
  • Failure to enforce a right immediately is not a waiver of that right.
  • We may assign or transfer these terms as part of a restructuring, merger, or asset transfer, with notice where required.
  • These terms, together with linked policies, form the full agreement between you and Oncor for platform use.
